Remember A.W.M.
A- Absorb
W- Wash
M- Moisturized
1 Day After First Session
Absorb excess fluid. For the first few hours after your microblading appointment, gently blot the treated area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this until oozing has stopped. Removing this prevents buildup and scabbing.
2-10 Days After First Session
Washing Eyebrows. For about 2-10 days following your microblading service, wash eyebrows gently. Proceed with a patting motion instead of rubbing. Wash with water and an antibacterial, unscented soap i.e. Dial or Cetaphil Cleanser, apply with light touch using fingertips to gently cleanse the brows. Clean the area with a smooth motion for about 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuing that all soap is rinsed away. Gently pat to dry with clean towel. Wash twice a day,
Do NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic or AHA), or any exfoliants. Do not allow your brows to get wet outside.
3-10 Days After Session
Use a cotton swab and apply aftercare ointment the size of a rice grain, spread across the treat area. Do not over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay the healing process. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never apply ointment while brows are wet or damp. You may apply a healing balm according to your Microblading Artist's advice. If you have excessively oily skin, you may not need to use healing balm at all. For those with dry skin, balm can be used up to 2-3 times a day.
